Tessa, the 7-yr old the Rock and Roll Promoter

Last night I made the kids watch a part of The Kids Are Alright again. Lately Tess has been quite interested in music and old rock bands. In fact, she is becoming the go-to gal for Beatles trivia. We had the following conversation while The Who were playing:

Tess: Are these guys still alive?

Dad: Well, sadly, the bass player and the drummer are dead.

Tess: Oh. Why don't the other two guys play with the Beatles then?

Dad: Huh?

Tess: All they have left is a bass player and a drummer.

Pause.

Dad: Wow. That's right. Why don't they do that? That would kick ass.

Some classic lines from Tessa (7-yrs) tonight:

Tessa really says funny stuff all the time, some memorable ones from this evening:

"Stay off my perimeter!"
While describing the pillow arrangement on her bed.

"Yum...star of David Cupcakes...they're for the jews." While reading a cupcake cookbook with seasonal themes.

"I don't like alphabet soup...not the letters or the water." While complaining about dinner.

"Dad, I'm drinking tequila!" While drinking water from a metal shot glass (came in Tuaca gift pack)

"Dad, wanna see my new jerk dance...I mean dork dance?" While showing off some dance moves.
