Sweet, steep cinder cone and lava flow 25 miles north of town. The rim is laden with huge volcanic bombs. The sideslopes approach 45 degrees and are very loose with cindery debris. The whole family made the halfway point. I made the summit and skiid down on the scree. Awesome.
